I started at a new company and they offered to purchase new CPA review materials for me- for whatever reason (honestly I dont know why I did this, so dont ask) I bought Rogers for REG and Yaeger for FAR. I loved Rogers & his style of teaching and passed REG. Now I’m onto FAR and I just hate Yaeger. I dont like how the Wiley book is set up and flipping back and forth between the book and handout just seems confusing to me. I am going to have a difficult time with FAR as my intermediate accounting teacher was NOT good and I will definitely need the concepts explained well. I am seriously considering just ordering Rogers for FAR today but I wanted to know if anyone has used Yaeger and loved it or conversely, used Rogers for FAR and hated it. I just want to pass the stupid section and be done with this test and I want to move my test up to the middle or end of April and spending time figuring out how the heck Yaeger works, doesn’t sound too appealing haha.

@mustpass I used Yaeger for FAR and passed w/a 76. Honestly I think that the material is just hard and boring by nature. I followed the Yaeger teachers' instruction in terms of which parts to skip and which to focus on. I have a short attention span and find studying hard, but I found that Yaeger did do a solid job of explaining the topics. Also a huge plus is the instructor hotline. Take full advantage of it. If you don't understand something from a lecture or a MCQ just call them up. You'll either talk to Phil or Cindy (the same instructors who give the lectures). Phil has spent over an hour at a time with me explaining things that I didn't understand. Hope this helps you.

I used Becker for AUD, Becker/Yaeger CRAM/NINJA for BEC and Yaeger and NINJA for FAR and REG. I have no Roger experience other than his youtube vids.

Thanks that does help- it was partly my fault for using Becker for AUD & BEC and then switching to Rogers for REG And Yaeger for FAR. Each course has its own way of laying out the material & its confusing to have to figure it out all over again! Just want to be done with FAR!

Cindy does most of the lectures for FAR in Yaeger and she is great. I wish I had her for some of my undergrad accounting classes as I probably would have understood more. The handouts she provides for FAR basically take some of the more complicated concepts that the book may not explain very well and simplifies them. I found that if something was in the handout, I spent little to no time looking at it in the book. Just some thoughts, but I would strongly recommend Yaeger for FAR anyday.

I used Roger for FAR but didn't pass until my third try- when I added the Ninja notes. If you already have Yaeger I'd just stick with that but totally supplement with ninja notes…. They really did the trick!!! Also do multiple choice problems until you're blue in the face!!!! Good luck- FAR is a beast!

I passed on my first try using only Yaeger/Wiley/Wiley Test Bank for FAR with an 82. As mentioned, the hotline is great and you should make use of it. Cindy is a great instructor in my opinion.

This was my first exam and I hadn't began my love of NINJA yet. Once I passed AUD with a 92, I went NINJA all the way. I strongly suggest going through the lectures with Yaeger, buying NINJA Notes, and hitting up MCQs like a crazy person. If you have a long work commute, grab the NINJA Audio… I went all out with NINJA on REG and scored a 91… Obviously also went crazy on MCQs to supplement Yaeger + NINJA Notes + NINJA Audio.
