I couldnt take it in this testing window because of busy season at work.

I previously took FAR and failed with a 72.

I passed Audit and BEC by buying the $60 Wiley book and going through MCQs over and over again. Didnt read the text. I learn more from seeing why answers are right and wrong anyway.

Failed FAR (72) using only the MCQs in the Wiley books.

Passed Reg by supplementing Wiley Book with Ninja MCQ.

With that said, what would be best for me to use for FAR? Roger or Becker?

I will be supplementing with Ninja MCQ and maybe Wiley book.

I found the Wiley Testbank very helpful. Although I didn't pass (67) after three weeks of study I thought the material was a good prep tool. Ninja MCQ's I found almost identical to Becker so why through money out the door. I'd buy Ninja MCQ and the notes. I find doing the MCS's are more effective than re-reading a book.

I have old Yaeger stuff and am in the same boat (hopefully, just took REG yesterday). I know what's changed and there isn't much but I will for sure get the ninja mcq, i'm debating other things though. I used someone's becker for REG and that course is the biggest scam in the history of man. i found their videos to be tedious and repetitive and frankly to be a huge time waster with how often they tended to repeat themselves. i do like yaeger, but years ago when i started this everyone on these boards used them and now they don't. i know you used to be able to get a pretty nice discount off of this site for them as well, so i wonder if it's all related or what happened. regardless, i was debating going back to that or one of the others that have been touted on here. basically giving myself the weekend to decide.

Yeah I downloaded Becker and ended up only using the pdf exam questions for a while.

Ended up deleting it because the videos were trash. He just went over his notes.

I can do that myself.

Stuck with wiley because they had harder questions imo. And their explanations of why answers are right or wrong is much better (fact, not an opinion).

I am considering roger because from what I hear his GNP explanation is the best. Since Aud will expire if I don't pass in q2, we won't get results in time for q3, and bec expires in q4, I want to take NO chances

@danko1983 my wiley book is from 2015. Should I buy a new one or will I be safe?

My gripe with roger is that I heard his test bank is too easy (which is why I will supplement Ninja MCQ) and his Sims aren't reflective of what's in the test. I want to practice the DRS and don't know how.

@sunni my wiley/yaeger stuff is from 2011. like i said, i did use some becker stuff and ninja notes/mcq for reg (hopefully to pass it this time, although i only used my notes i took from becker on this part). honestly, i used the same bec stuff i've used for years last year and got the highest score i've ever gotten on it. i'm honestly not that afraid to use my old stuff since i know what has changed. there isn't much, but the 2015 stuff probably just missed the cutoff of some if it if i had to guess. FAR is the one section i've never passed, so i'm just not sure what to do. you can go on ebay and get second hand materials relatively cheap as well. my coworker even said she'd make me copies of the pages of what changed since there's so little and we all know how expensive all this stuff is. that all being said, whatever change becker just did she told me it is way better than what it was with how they are presenting everything now. so it all just depends on how comfortable you are with whatever materials you have ultimately and if you think it's worth spending more money on new ones.
