Wiley test bank if you don't have it already. Also maybe the ninja flash cards I didn't use them for FAR but have found them useful for other sections. It's a lot of material just keep reviewing to bring up the old stuff

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

(Combinations of Roger, Yaeger, Wiley Book, Wiley TB, & NINJA Notes)

FAR is a lot more than the other modules… Almost twice AUD I would say…

I think you should focus on MCQ and do as much MCQ as you can in preparation! I used Becker but I guess others are good as well.

Do not forgot government accounting… 🙂

    FAR (21 Nov 2012): 92
    REG (26 Nov 2012): 88
    AUD (28 Nov 2012): 99
    BEC (30 Nov 2012): 86

FAR is definitely alot of material and not easy stuff….just keep plugging away at it. You prob know alot more than you think. It was the first exam i took and i used becker which i thought they did a good job…….I prob could have done a little more on my part and got a higher score, but whatetver it works. If you have passed AUD and BEC you got these things.

I just took BEC during the extended window……personally i thought it was more difficult than the FAR exam. Hoping i made it past the mark!

Would you say the Becker software and MCQs & SIMS are a good example of whats coming on the exam? Easier? Harder?

MCQs from Becker are really similar. Not easier, not harder… I thought the final exams are a bit harder with Becker.

Sims were not really the same (at least for me), but they are of good help to practice and review the material.

Compared to BEC and AUD, you have to manage your time with FAR… I used every second until the last one!

    FAR (21 Nov 2012): 92
    REG (26 Nov 2012): 88
    AUD (28 Nov 2012): 99
    BEC (30 Nov 2012): 86

    @HK001

Dude, we have the exact same scores for FAR, REG, and AUD. I guess I know what I'm getting on BEC when I take it in January. By the way, did you really take all 4 exams in 9 days? That's insane!!! I thought I was doing well by (hopefully) finishing in 4 months.

I used Becker for all sections and really feel like it did a good job of helping me feel prepared for exam day. It's so overwhelming to prepare for FAR though. What helped me was to go through Chapters 1-3 then do a review, Chs 4-6, review 4-6 and then 1-6, etc.

And 2 weeks before the exam, re-work all MC, simulations, as many final exams and progress tests as possible. Hope this helps.

I am using Wiley book and Test Bank, would any of you say the the questions in Wiley are a good reflection of what's on the test?

    FAR-7/27/13
    AUD-5/25/13
    REG-NOT SCHEDULED
    BEC-NOT SCHEDULED

The worst part about FAR with Becker is F1 & F2 are so long and have so much info that you almost get burned out right away. But don't underestimate those 2 chapters. I really think I got a 74 because I didn't pay enough detail to the first 2 chapters and focused too much on the calculations and info in the later chapters.

And as someone else mentioned, there is a TON of governmental on the exam, make sure you save enough time for the final few chapters.

Anyone looking at the FAR book and the amount of info will freak out. However, you must give yourself enough time to go through everything. I say schedule your time to what works best for you. I gave myself at least 2 chapters a week including working on MC's. When you know you have enough time to study, your mind is much more relax. Good Luck!!

    BEC 10/13 PASSED 77
    AUD 04/12 PASSED 83
    FAR 08/12 PASSED 76
    REG 02/13 PASSED 76

Licensed in PA on 12/23/13. Yea boy!!

For FAR, I listened to the lecture for each chapter, and after the lecture of each chapter, I'd actually read the materials and then do the multiple choice for the section. I allowed myself around two to three weeks for a final review in which I did about 2500+ MCQ's using Wiley Test Bank. For sections I didn't understand, I re-read it and tried to do problems in that section until I understood it.

In addition to the test bank, I used Yaeger lectures, Yaeger audio, and Wiley Book to pass FAR. I really recommend doing as much MCQ's as possible – I remember reading on here looking for advice when I didn't pass my first try and seeing a lot of comments on doing a lot of MCQ's. I thought that wouldn't work, but I decided to give it a try since my other methods weren't working. So far, it's helped. Recently, I've added Ninja notes to my studying after struggling for the “nth” time of not passing BEC…IT HELPED ME PASS!

Also, allow yourself time to complete studying. I know they'll tell you you'll never remember all the materials and blah blah blah…but allowing yourself to be comfortable and understanding the material will really help you.

    Best of luck!
