I am having issues all of a sudden with things I understood (or thought I did) weeks ago! Can anybody recommend a good way to actually remember things like how to do diluted earnings per share and really those damn bond questions? I have no idea why I freeze and go blank on those!!!

I'd say, with most of the FAR's application level-based questions, the repetition of practicing such questions is the key. The more you do it, the more likely you will remember how to do them. Obviously, you're going to have to go through them first time in order to understand, and once you have obtained a basic understanding of the concepts and mechanics of doing the problems, then keep working on them.

I hope there is an easier way to do this, but it really comes down to the repetition..

@TerriSilva – I know you said you liked the plus videos. I think these were very helpful to me for Bonds. I wrote out the journal entries for them so many times that eventually they both made sense and stuck. I've forgotten a bit of FAR from February, but any time I see a bond question I still get it right because I truly memorized and learned the order of the entries and that made me feel confident. @Kimberly – you are right! I was just sitting here thinking that I need to re-watch the plus videos for bonds. Bob is very big on using the journal entries 😉 It's just kind of scary when you're going along studying and feeling pretty good about it, and then you get hit with a question you haven't seen in a while and can't remember what to do. It's like what the heck have I been studying?

Terri – JEs are the easiest way to solve bond questions. I found bonds to be one of the easiest. Try to understand the concept and then add numbers.
