Whats the best way to prepare for FAR if I have 8 days to cover half of the material? I work at a Big 4 and have been working long hours 7 days a week. I imagine i’ll be retaking this exam, but just wondered if anyone had any tips for the best way to cover a large amount of material in a short amount of time. I have becker but its laughable to think I can get through all the lectures/ mc/ sims in 8 days. Any ideas?

    -Read the book

    -Do MCQs

Ditch the lectures, and I'd say ditch the SIMs, too.

Focus on getting as many MCQs done as possible. Look up everything you get wrong to understand why. Make yourself little notes on formulas you run across while doing MCQs.

As much multiple choice as you can handle. That's some heavy material for 8 days but some people claim to have done it in less. Good luck!

Please let us know if you pass FAR in 8 days, so some of us can feel more pathetic. Good Luck!

Ninja audio helped me learn quickly. Listen while at work if you can. It might get you a few extra points.

    BEC - 84 (4/13/2013)
    REG - 82 (10/17/2013)
    AUD - 85 (12/5/2013)
    FAR - 75 (10/11/2014)

I agree with ajurew1 – the ninja audio helps a lot. Do the Becker questions for lectures 8&9 at least once all the way through. Review cash flows from ch 7, pensions from ch 6 and bonds from ch 5. Then pray to whatever God you believe in, get a good nights sleep the night before and keep us all posted on your score!

Big 4 is rough – I used to work at Big 4 so I understand what you're going through. I remember them giving people 2 days off though as policy to study and sit for the exam. I dont think you can make manager without having the CPA so they try and help as best they can (laughable, I know!) Maybe try that for your next exam!

    Best of luck =)

MCQs by the truckload. Don't waste time reading the book with how little available time you have between now and the exam.

    REG - 90 (08/2014) - Study Time = 6 days
    FAR - 89 (10/2014) - Study Time = 9 days
    BEC - 83 (11/2014) - Study Time = 4 days
    AUD - 89 (01/2015) - Study Time = 2 days

    Final score released - 2/4/15
    Application mailed - 2/5/15
    Licensed CPA - 2/12/15
