    Hi,

I’m taking FAR in exactly 1 week. It’s the first section I’m taking. I’ve done the Becker lectures and MCQs once for 7 chapters, but haven’t yet looked at chapter 6,7,8. What do people recommend I do for the next week to prepare for the exam?

I don’t think I have time to do all the lectures for the remaining chapters and feel like I need to start going through the simulations.

Review the MCQ's. Try to cover the spread. It sounds like there was some mention of topics from previous exam posts. Good luck.

Don't know your background or experience, but if you're skipping NFP and governmental??

Put the lecture speed on 2.0 and soak it in.

I would say work on your weak areas. Hit MCQ's hard until you puke!! I am starting to study for FAR by this weekend. Good luck to you!!!

    FAR - August 2016
    AUD - September 2016
    REG - October 2016
    BEC - November 2016

I skipped ahead to study governmental and I'm going to get through NFP tonight. However, I don't have time to do chapters 6 & 7 at this point. I'm not really sure what my weak areas are because I haven't had the opportunity to review yet

I find it helpful to do half the MCQs for each module and jot down notes of what questions I am missing, why I am missing them, what the correct answer is, etc.

For example Capital Leases for FAR has a total of 42 questions, so start off doing 21 of them, and so on and so forth. Once you work your way through the first half of those modules, go ahead and try a simulation or turn around and knock out the other half of the MCQs.

I've found this makes the topics less intimidating and minimizes the “burn out” that is associated with monotonous study sessions.

Would it be possible for you to take the test at the very end (June 10th) of the extended window?

If it’s your first section, what’s rushing you to take FAR while you are only 70% prepared?

    FAR means FEAR AND RESPECT!
