FAR in 4.5 – 5 weeks possible?

Im going to be studying full time (although I take frequent breaks.. lose concentration very easily). Is 4.5 – 5 weeks enough for doing the mcq’s twice, reading the chapters once, viewing the lectures once, and both final exams? I feel like this is not enough. My exam is October 5th, and I just started reading F1.

I started studying yesterday and have the same test date. I'm using the wiley test bank and book, no lectures- it's worked for 2 (hopefully now 3) of the other parts. Good luck!

Yes, it's definitely possible. I studied about 4 weeks for FAR and I was more than prepared. One of the SIMs caught me off guard and I know I totally bombed it, but other than that, I didn't really see anything that I hadn't studied.

My 5-week study approach was to focus on the weak areas (only MCQs) and practice tons of SIMs because SIMs is where lot of new candidates are likely to struggle and I just wanted to get better at it so that I have a higher chance of passing. And the exam seemed just the way I expected and I passed. I might have missed lot of easy MCQs but on 5 of the SIMs, I knew for sure I did 100%.

    AUD - 82p
    FAR - 69, 72, 75p
    BEC - 09/2012
    REG - 10 or 11/2012

Using CPAExcel, Gleim for SIMs, and Red Bull

I gave myself just under 3 weeks to do the full Becker circuit and pulled off an 84. So, it's definitely do-able.

Well it looks like I have about 3.5 weeks. Im going to watch all lectures in the next 2 days, read all the chapters and do MCQ's, at least twice.

Its going to be a long few weeks!

    Thanks for the push!

    Hi,

I'm new to this community. I just started studying for FAR two days ago and this is my 1st exam I'm preparing for. I finished F-1 and im not confident about the material. I watched the lecture (Becker) highlighting, taking notes but Im not scoring good on the HW 🙁 also i went back and read the text book its just so much info & im not a big fan of reading ..

please if you could share what worked for you & what was your approach in terms of watching lectures 1st or reading the txt & HW ?

    Any advice is appreciated 🙁

@Fatmi – Just keep plugging along. It's a lot of material but just focus each day on making progress. The first week or so I started studying for FAR I let myself get overwhelmed with the sheer “size” of FAR and it really got me down. Even three weeks out from my test date I was thinking there is no way and I was just hoping I didn't score in the 50s or lower, but then something happened and things started coming together and clicking and I slowly started building confidence, and with one week until my test I was thinking “I really think I can do this!” Trust me the long hours and hard work pay off. Start believing “I can do this,” and you will make it happen. This was my first attempt at any of the sections and I had no idea what to expect, but the work did pay off and I passed FAR on my first attempt. Think positive, attack the material, and you will win! Good Luck!

    FAR - 81 (8/31/12)
    AUD - 93 (10/19/12)
    BEC - 79 (11/27/12)
    REG - 92 (2/8/13) DONE! All 1st attempt!
