    Hello all,

I am starting my studying for FAR on Sunday and am taking it Aug 31. My plan is to study for about 5 hours a day each day with the potential for a few 6-7 hour days. With FAR being the longest and greatest in material, my concern is that I will not have enough time to be adequately prepared by test day. I’ve thought about taking BEC with the same time frame due to my concerns.

Does anyone have any insight? Thanks!

    FAR - (8/2012) 87
    BEC - (11/2012) 86
    REG - 73 (retake July 2013)
    AUD - 71 (retake April 2013)

If you stay dedicated everyday, I think you can do it.

Also, have you considered retaking REG before BEC? You were only 2 points off and your memory will be fresher the sooner you take it again.

I took it in January while I was still in college, in-between semesters, so it's been a while. Will probably take it in January again. I guess I should have thought of that before I put AUD, FAR and BEC on my latest NTS 🙂

I spent 4 weeks, the first 3 being as you are planning, the last one being 10-12 hour days of review and MCQ grinding. As long as you are efficient in your studying, that sounds reasonable. 1 day for lecture and review, 1 day for MCQs and sims (not focusing too hard on getting everything exactly right), that leaves you 8 days of hellish review of your weak spots.

    FAR 92 1/3/12
    AUD 93 2/2/12
    BEC 89 2/28/12
    REG 86 7/16/12

    Waiting on REG

I am taking FAR on August 30th. I am using Becker 2012 materials. So far I am in the phase of watching the lectures and taking notes and making note cards. So I spend about 6-7 hours a day. But when August starts I will probably try and get in 10 hour days. Its all about the MCQ so going through the material initially is drag. Especially in FAR when there is so much stuff. I dont think you will have a problem. Good luck!

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

    Audit 4/19/12 - 77
    BEC 5/31/12 - 75
    FAR 8/30/12

I'm taking FAR on Aug 11.

I just finished Chapter 3 — 9 more chapters to go, 3 more weeks to go.

You guys think I can do it?

    I work full-time and commute.
