FAR in 2 weeks, only 1/3 of the way through review material

    Hi everyone,

I’m signed up for FAR on August 28, and currently I’m only a third of the way through my CPAexcel material. I took about a week longer for both REG and BEC than I originally intended at the beginning of summer, and also had to take a week off from studying to research/find a new apartment in New York. If you look at my sig….AUD is just a no-study since my NTS is expiring.

I’m studying full-time right now as I don’t start work until October. I figure I can at least get another 140 hours in by studying 10 hours a day these next two weeks, but I doubt I’ll have any time for final review, let alone just making it all the way through the material. I guess I’m just searching for advice and possible words of encouragement. Anyone in a similar situation ever pull this off?

Like you already said, Plan on going HAM on your materials for the next two weeks and hope for the best. Its difficult but doable as others have passed putting in half the time you're about to. It just will be more difficult for you because you won't have the opportunity to let things marinate and sink in.

Good luck and pound out those MCQs

    FAR 02/21/13 - 95
    REG 07/02/13 - 87
    AUD 08/02/13 - 94
    BEC 08/30/13 - 85
    Ethics Exam - 90

I studied for FAR in 18 days total (Becker FastPass). Questions, questions, questions. Identify your weak spots and focus on those.

And I understand your struggles of finding a place in NY. Hope everything worked out.

Good luck – you can do it!

    FAR - 5/31/13 - 85
    REG - 7/8/13 - 87
BEC - 8/1/13 - 85 (Part of the shady server upgrade fiasco)
    AUD - 8/28/13 - (Waiting)

Considering the pass rate is less than 50% and the sheer amount of material covered on this exam you have a very good chance of failing with the little time left to study. Study like crazy for the exam and do your best on exam day! If anything you'll get good exposure to the exam format and material so that you are all the more closer to passing next time you take FAR.
