    Hi guys,

I have FAR on 10/13 and just finished going through all of the Becker MCQ’s after the course and my first mock exam (got a 64).

I mark every question I got wrong and write it on an index card. My main question is: with these remaining 10 days, how should I spend them reviewing? Should I re-do the questions I got wrong? Should I go through all of the Becker MCQ’s again? I’m off from work until my test so I literally have all day and night to review. Thanks!

    MCQs. Loads of MCQS.
I'd suggest hitting all areas of MCQs as a review, and then track your progress.
If you notice, or already know of weak areas, review textbooks or lectures, and focus your MCQs on those weak areas.

You have 10 days. I'd try to do at least 100 MCQs a day. With review that should probably take about 2-3 hours.
If your brain is still functioning then shoot for 200 a day.

I'm in the same boat, only very much still working full time (though I am taking the next two Fridays off for extra study time). Finished the Becker materials (lectures, MCQs and SIMS), starting review now. I'll take my first mock exam on Friday and adjust from there. Taking the 2nd mock on Sunday. I've felt confident along the way, but now I'm most nervous about the beginning material and things that I'm just not familiar with in my day-to-day. Government wasn't nearly as bad as I feared, so I'm definitely going to brush up on employee benefit plans, diluted EPS, bonds and investments…

I was in the same situation last month:) I didn't redo all the MCQ and SIMS in Becker for my last week, I specifically revisited the chapters I got weak performance based on the mock exam and redid the marked and incorrect MCQ for those chapters, I found the AICPA released questions helpful as well. I also tried to go through the text book at least one or two times during the last week, to refresh my memory. (pay more attention to last two chapters and not-for-profit since these are heavily tested).

I did more multiple choice then did F1-10 flashcards each day for the last few days before the test.

Hit up those progress tests. I set them for all the chapters and the same number of questions you will have on your testlet. This gets your timing down for test day. As you get comfortable with different sections, drop those sections from your progress tests. It’s all about those mcq’s and learning why you got the answers right and why you got them wrong.

PS – that’s a good score on the mock exam for your first go around. That’s what I got one day before. Since you have several left, keep pounding and you’ll do awesome.

I would do a combo of focusing on your weak areas (including reading the book and reviewing the lectures) while doing random sets of progress tests in Becker. Also, check out the AICPA blueprint and try to focus on topics according to the blueprint-see all areas that are marked application or analysis-those are a fair game for a SIM…Switch things up-maybe do some Skills Practices-those were really awesome for me to solidify journal entries. I also played this game-I would start writing down in plain terms anything and everything I could think of about a topic, including journal entries, as if you are explaining to a stranger. this really gave the confidence that I knew my stuff…. Do the SIMS as well…

Agree with Recked – grind MCQ. Focus on topics that you're weak in.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback. I've broken it into 5 days of review of For Profit, 1/2 day of mock, 3/12 days of NFP, Gov't, and weak For-Profit. Then 1 day to relax ahead of my test. Thanks everyone!
