This will be my first time taking FAR and I have given myself 3 months (11/5). What is a sure-fire way to pass this beast. I have Wiley book, Yaeger videos, Ninja notes, and I just bought the Ninja MCQ. Will this get it done? Total hours? I work at a CPA firm, wife, 16 month old and baby girl due in 10 days so time is precious.

    BEC 80 (2/16/14)
    AUD 87 (4/1/15)

I'm not sure there is a “sure-fire” way to pass. There's nothing wrong with your materials, though. I would say it's pretty hard to throw out a number for total hours, because it's really going to vary from person to person, maybe someone else can answer that better than I can.

Definitely leave at least a couple weeks of review time, because by the end of that 3 month period you may find you're forgetting some of the earlier material (unless you review it all regularly). FAR definitely has a lot of material, and there are some challenging areas. I'm not sure what I can provide in the way of guaranteed methods (again, not sure there are any), but just make use of your materials and work as many MCQs as you can throughout the study process.

Based on your scores in your signature it seems you know what you're doing, just study hard and try to make time as best you can even though you have a full plate of work and family responsibilities.

    When do you test?

and based on previous scores, you will be great! Are you using Ninja MCQ?

    REG: 65, 77*
