1) What chapters are heavily tested on FAR besides NFP? I know J/E’s are a big component of the exam.

2) Is IFRS a big part of the exam? Becker has comparisons after every chapter, and its A LOT of new stuff.

3) Has anyone done Becker AND the Wiley Test Bank, and found the Test Bank helpful, or should I just stick to Becker, and do MCQ’s over and over again?

3) No, I did Becker only, but I think that supplementing with Wiley or Jeff's Ninja Notes could only benefit you.

1) You need to know everything in the Becker book. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are selling you short. The actual exam may only test 4 out of the 10 Becker chapters, but you will have no idea which ones they are. Do you want to play Russian Roulette with FAR? It's really not something you want to take more than once.

2) Refer to answer #1.

3) I used only Becker for FAR although I did have Wiley test bank available. Six weeks was simply not enough time (for me) to go through both.

My best advice is to not get intimidated by the material. You really need to just roll up your sleeves and grind it out. Your sanity will be questioned throughout the process but just keep in mind that every CPA before you has made the passage and so will you. Best of luck!

Alright thank you guys! I guess I will stick with my current schedule of doing the lecture, reading, and MCQ's/SIMS twice – three times if possible, and if time permits doing Wileys Test Bank! Its worked so far for REG & BEC!
