Does anyone have a good summary laid out of what is needed for govt wide financial statements and fund financial statements? I feel like not for profit is easy and just requires three, but I’m getting confused trying to map out what is and isn’t needed for governmental

waffle….gov't wide FS dont have a cash flows statement,,,only proprietary funds at the fund level

@StickyNicky, what are government wide financial statements comprised of? in becker we have a summary page but I can't understand what the gov't wide ones are made up of, just each of the funds

Government Wide should be just Statement of Net Position and Statement of Activities

yes just the 2 that 007 said and they are on an accrual basis (economic resources focus) they include gov't activities and business like activities,,,the gov't activities includes all the gov't funds plus the internal service fund while the biz like is just enterprise,,,there are also component units that either need to be blended in with gov't activities or discretely presented under component unit section…as you know gov't funds are modified accrual so you have to reconcile to accrual for gov't wide…i believe the reconciliation is on the face on the statement of net position? or on the statement of activites,,,not sure if both or which one

My bad, you should know how to do the gov statement of cash flows for proprietary funds. Lol it's been a week since I took the exam and I already forgot this stuff.

that chart in Becker's book Chapter 9 page 10 is key. I memorized that chart and rewrote it by memory. when I got into the test, I jotted it down on one of my boards.
