Hi I am really frustrated at this point, I’ve been getting no more than 70 on the homework(first try), it seems that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t pass the 70 mark. As far as the simulation goes, I am getting about 40-50% on the first try. I am just really worried that I won’t be able to pass my FAR exam coming up on April 9th. Some of the Becker homework questions were really loooooonnnnnggggggg, I got discouraged sometimes seeing questions that are 5-6 lines long. I have two more lectures until I finish, I am planning to re-read the entire book and re-do all the MCQs, simulations as well as the two final exams for my final review. Any suggestions on how to improve the homework percentage? How did you guys review for the FAR final? Thanks.

gateway3601- I think you will be well prepared for the real exam with your 70% on homework. I have found that alot of Becker problems are lengthier and more difficult than those on the Exam. (Although I haven't yet taken FAR). I would continue to review and do more MCQ's and practice sims. GL!

I typed “frustration” in the search engine

    Cause i'm so…. FRUSTRATED

few times i just wanted to slap my face for taking so long to understand..

How do u guys do this?

I was at stockholders' equity part in wiley book

    And.. This is just ridiculous

I'm thinking abt skipping this one and focus on other chapters

    Any thoughts?

    Arrrgh.. Just wanna cry

I just drank a cup of wine and i helps to release some stress but i know it wont solve any problems!

I really dont want to study cpa 2014…

How do u keep up with this and not feeling bad abt skipping a chapter? Well it's not even a chapter, maybe 1/3of one chapter?

for FAR realize it's not about being a master at all the topics but how much of ALLLLL those topics you actually remember on the day of the exam. It's about coverage. Most questions are going to be straight forward or require 1 step calculation.

@December4th FAR is a ridiculous amount of material. I think skipping one subsection is fine if it's going to keep you motivated to get through the rest of the material. Good luck!

    REG 10/12/13 - 94
    FAR 10/17/13 - 93
    AUD 11/11/13 - 92
    BEC 11/20/13 - 87
    ethics 11/27/13 - 92%

Trust me, dude…you don't want to skip the equity section. I found out on my first go around that they will pull sims from just about any section. My biggest mistake the first time I took the test was trying to get to deep on some subjects and forgetting other subjects.

As another poster said, if you can do one step calculations those and conceptual type questions will get you through 95% of the MCQ questions. Some of the exam prep people make their MCQ questions way too hard and their sims way to easy or non-existent.
