Hi I am really frustrated at this point, I’ve been getting no more than 70 on the homework(first try), it seems that no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t pass the 70 mark. As far as the simulation goes, I am getting about 40-50% on the first try. I am just really worried that I won’t be able to pass my FAR exam coming up on April 9th. Some of the Becker homework questions were really loooooonnnnnggggggg, I got discouraged sometimes seeing questions that are 5-6 lines long. I have two more lectures until I finish, I am planning to re-read the entire book and re-do all the MCQs, simulations as well as the two final exams for my final review. Any suggestions on how to improve the homework percentage? How did you guys review for the FAR final? Thanks.

Gateway, you must be very lucky making about 70% on your first try. Unfortunately, I made only 40-50% on my first try. Your performance will tremendously increase when you will do them twice. Good luck!

    BEC - 82 Reg-87 Aud - 86 Far - 81 (THANX THE LORD)

The material is not difficult, especially since I had some really good review programs. It is just the volume of material that is frustrating!

I am a belt and suspenders type of guy. I would hate to loose my pants with FAR. Therefore, I used both Becker and Yaeger to pass FAR! Yaeger was more useful than Becker because Yaeger reviewed most of the multiple choice questions in the Wiley book.

Hey gateway, I never took a practice test or timed myself and was able to pass FAR on my first try!

I used Yaeger and Wiley, I kinda cheated when answering the quesitons in Wiley (looking at my notes)…….

You should just learn the material and not worry about your Becker prep scores….

And Pursuit 74 sucks! but I rather be unemployed than brankrupted…lol

I used Becker and never scored above 70% on any m/c and never even practiced a simulation before the exam and I scored an 81 on it. Becker prepares you well, just keep working over the problems and concepts and expect to do well come test time.

My review course instructor told me that you really only need to get about 60% of the questions right to pass. So you are doing great by getting 70%. I am averaging 65% on my first try. Work more questions and when you think you've worked them all, do them again!

gateway3601- I think you will be well prepared for the real exam with your 70% on homework. I have found that alot of Becker problems are lengthier and more difficult than those on the Exam. (Although I haven't yet taken FAR). I would continue to review and do more MCQ's and practice sims. GL!
