    Hello everyone,

I am getting ready to start my home stretch of review for the FAR exam, I am finishing up chapter 9 tonight and will hopefully be starting the review tonight. I will add that for the most part I didn’t start studying for this exam till this friday and have gone through all chapters and homework. I averaged a mid 60’s on all homeworks on my first pass but haven’t done anythign comprehensive. My test is on Monday the 20th. My time available to study will be tonight about 3-4 hours, tomorrow night 3-4 hours, thursday, friday, saturday and sunday (took PTO Thursday and Friday) so I can study literally all day those days. What would you guys recommend for a final review approach?

Typically I would re-read every chapter and do the homeworks with a couple progress tests every two chapters to keep things fresh. This test is substantially larger than the others and I have had significantly less time to study so hoping to get so good feedback as to where I should focus my time, any suggestions on better review methods.

Also my test is at 5 on monday do you guys suggest doing any hard studying? or just do some comp tests and final tests

Lastly i’m using the becker review for my materials.

    Thank you for any help.

“I will add that for the most part I didn't start studying for this exam till this friday and have gone through all chapters and homework”

How is this possible? I started studying 6 weeks ago (3 weeks studying full-time, 3 weeks studying part-time). I'm about half way through Chapter 9, and my exam is Aug 1. I was actually worried that 2 weeks wouldn't be enough time to review.

Anyway, since your review is so close to when you actually completed the homework, I think you run the risk of memorizing answers to the questions during your review process. I'm debating whether I should buy the Ninja MCQs solely for my final review and ignore Becker's progress tests. It worked for me on REG a year ago,

I will say i did not listen to the lectures for the chapters except when I was driving to and from work. and I literally spent 32+ hours this past weekend and 4 hours last night just reading and doing MCQ, I'm not to concerned with memorizing them as I have only done them once (there are a lot of questions).

I have been reviewing now for over a week. I went through all the chapters MC again and was able to knock a chapter out a day. You don't have this time. I'd say take a few progress tests, over about 3 or 4 chapters and answer 30 to 45 questions. This will help ID your rough areas. Then hit those areas before the exam. Also, don't forget how big Gov't and NFP is on the actual, they will most likely test you very heavily on it!

    Using Becker self-study

    REG: (XX)
