FAR Final review

My FAR test is next Friday. I am starting my final review, I think I am in panic mode now.

I took notes, did all MCH’s. I am kind of wondering what would be the best way to do the final review to help me get magic 75, last time I got 72?

I was thinking I could re-read a chapter per day (I plan on doing F1-F2 one day and F7-F8 also in one day) then re-do all MCH’s and sims and also do Wiley online test or I could re-read my notes, do Becker and Wiley Mch’s and re-write my notes..I would really appreciate any feedback 🙂

All of that sounds good! Unfortunately, I've never really had time for a proper final review, but I think doing as many mcqs as possible and going over notes should definitely be done. Hopefully someone else who has more experience with this can offer more advice.

    Good luck! You're almost done!

I took FAR about a month ago, and had a pretty good result. I did a final review for about 3 days before the exam, so obviously I can't relate to anywhere near the amount of prep you're suggesting; however, in my experience it is definitely not necessary to basically redo all of your work again. Not only unnecessary, but probably inefficient. I would recommend reading through your notes, the stuff you underlined/highlighted, in order to review all the major concepts and exceptions and calculations (definitely could manage more than one per day, I would suggest 1-2 hours per lecture). While you're reading, write a ‘cheat sheet' up for yourself for the basic concepts and calculations. It's a great way of putting your knowledge into writing and it's a good learning tool. Then I would review the MCQ's for sections you struggled with or would like to review to cement the concepts. It would be inefficient to do all the MCQ's again, rather you may be better served by focusing on difficult ones and maybe just doing a few of the easier ones just to get some last minute practice. This was my process, but it really doesn't make sense to me that you would redo everything. At least focus your review somewhat, so that you can maximize points on the exam. Good luck!

Do a lot of progress tests and quizzes. If you get bad grades on a some quizzes go back to the book and read it. Obviously, start with the parts you have most trouble with.

I did exactly what See Pee A did (and had 3 days of review as well.. 3 chapters/day) and I really think it served me well!

    BEC 52, 61, 74, 77
    AUD 80
    REG 75
    FAR 50, 60, 70, 74, 83...DONE!!

Thank you all for your input!

I totally agree with See Pee A (Btw I like your nickname here, very creative) that redoing all MCH's is inefficient. I wrote down all my weak areas and will go over this and will do lots of tests, quizzes, I got Becker and Wiley and hope it will help me..

I just want to be done so badly..
