FAR is the first test I have taken for my CPA process. I used Becker went through all MC and Progress Test atleast twice and did a notebook by sections to work on my problem sections. I also did note cards. Any suggestions for moving forward with this section. Really new to all of this do you get any type of a clue from the test what sections you were strong or weak in? Planning on taking AUD next in Jan. I think since FAR is still fresh on my mind I am going to refresh on it and take it in the 1st testing window in 2012. Is this a good idea or no? I think I need to get these two underneath me before tax season kicks off.

    AUD- 53, 60, 76
    FAR- 72, 60, 78 (Lose credit FEB 2014)
    REG- 86
    BEC- 8/6/13

Victoria, at some point you should receive a report that shows you how you did compared to everyone else that took the exam this testing window. How you receive this depends on your state, I think.

If you're not very far into your AUD studies, I would suggest re-studying for FAR first while the material is still somewhat fresh in your mind so you don't have to re-learn everything. IF you haven't scheduled AUD yet, consider scheduling FAR in early January and sit fit AUD sometime in February.

To raise your score, I think your study strategy was good, I'd just invest in an extra study bank like Gleim (that I used) or any other one and knock out as many MCQs as possible across all topics.

    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)

I have done all of my AUD lectures and MC from Becker but have not taken the time to do my note cards or books yet. I am not comfortable with it at all. I think I know from my test what my worst part was because I just couldn't get them to work the way I thought they should so I know I need to go back over those items but the rest I felt pretty good about. I am going to reschedule FAR for the first week in Jan. If you take two sections in the same month or window would you do AUD and FAR? All the accountants that I work with told me if I can get past these two I should do fine because I am a tax person and not really good with the rest.

@ KaisaS is Gleim a book or just MC review?

The Gleim I use is the downloadable software what contains MCQ test bank and a Simulation Wizard. I used this to supplement my review course.

As for taking FAR and AUD together in one window, you should be fine as long as you give yourself at least 5 full weeks to prepare for AUD after FAR. That's how long I studied for AUD – of course, it's all relative to your study habits and the course you use. For me, this was enough.

Ok Thanks for the advice. I will try that then. I will probably schedule AUD towards the end of Feb to have some time with it after FAR.
