While, this may seem plenty of time, I am so worried. I am using NINJA as well as Roger’s MCQ. I do believe that Roger’s does seem easy compared to NINJA. But I am at 37% on NINJA (also, I haven’t touched any gov’t and NFP section since the questions haven’t gone there yet). I don’t think I’m completely lost, I do understand subject when I go through the sections. But I am missing the small details.

I’m going to finish blitz twice this weekend. But can someone please help shed some light on this matter? How else should I study in order for the material absorb? I have pushed myself to only study for REG for 26 days so I would really want to make this FAR exam worth it. I’ve already deactivated FB and I have flashcards and audio to surround myself for the next 20 days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hasy, work the sims. read them carefully including the instructions. attempt them. then work through tha abswers and understand why they are correct. compare what you thought they were asking with they wanted.

if you are not familiar with fasb then sign up for free access and learn the structure. free only allows browse access but knowing how to find things will help you during exam.

make a list of the big topics: conceptual framework, bonds including amortization tables, pensions, leases, depreciation, EPS, gov/nfp, the list goes on. make sure you have core concepts and know them.

absolutely keep working mcqs, hit all of them if you can and every 5 or 6 sessions do a review. take a practice exam and see how you do.

keep checking your detailed progress report and hit weak areas.

you have to hit it hard in the next 3 weeks.

finish blitz and write down jeff's tips. i always score points of at least one of those that come up during the exam.

    good luck.

If you dont feel prepared why not push the test back a couple weeks until you feel confident.

going in defeated will not help you if you get 10 questions right away you have to guess on

Hasy – I know you may feel overwhelmed but FAR is not impossible in 3 weeks. I started studying Feb 7th and took FAR on Feb 29th and passed. It's good that you've cut off Facebook and are committed – you have very little wiggle room. I used only Roger, but I tried to get through 2-3 chapters per day then do an MCQS set to see if I understood the material. I was able to keep that pace for the most part, except I did take an entire day for govt and bonds bc I was lost. I did not practice any SIMS until my review which was the last 4 days before my exam. At this pace, there is no way you are going to feel comfortable with every topic. I at least wanted to be at a point to where I could narrow an MCQ about any topic to 2 best answers. I also spent an entire day just going through the AL so I could use it on the SIMS. There are so many points buried in the AL but you have to know how to use it. Think mile wide – inch deep. One good thing about FAR covering so much material is its impossible for them to test you on the specifics of everything. Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your input. Honestly, for the most part, I am doing bad in NINJA questions. Roger's, which is a little easier, I'm doing not as bad in his questions.

@jdn9201, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS. I would KILL for an 80 for 3 weeks of study. But a 75 would be WONDERFUL. I am using NINJA which expires 3/16, so I'm just going to stick with WTB and Roger's, which has been provided to me. Did you just go thru the chapters and take progress tests? I am planning to do a practice exam every Saturday until my exam on April 2. Since as of today, I finish all my the chapters from Roger. I am planning to do audio everyday and even at work now since we're allowed to listen to music.

I think your idea to take a practice exam every Saturday is good – it keeps you from forgetting what you've gone over so far. I didn't take practice exams until my review phase – only MCQ sets after every 2-3 chapters. If I made a 70 or higher, I moved on. I'm glad you can listen to material at work – I did the same. I did have to re-watch some of the lectures at home for the harder sections, but listening to it at work gave me more time to do questions at home. Roger does some ‘in class' questions after each chapter, and I'd try to save those parts for either lunch time or home, so I could follow along and check to make sure I understood the material. I can't say enough – spend at least a day studying nothing but the AL (I did this by practicing research SIMs. There will probably be some topics you are shaky on come exam day, and the AL can help you salvage some points on SIMS that get asked about those topics. You will have to commit to spend most of your spare time on studying, but give yourself a short break if you feel really burned out. I found on the weekends I could only focus for a couple hours at a time. So, I'd study, go to gym, study, go to grocery store, study, look at A71 :), etc. I tried to make sure that all of my study time at home was when I was in the zone and could be as productive as possible. There's no sense studying for 10 hours straight if half the time you're zoned out or you are going at half speed because you are tired. Good luck – you can do it!
