So, I purchased the video gold metal course from cpaexcel and the second topic is GAAP & Accrual accounting and theres like one page that talks simply about the fact that GAAP enforces accrual accounting….and then there’s 38 questions about accrual and cash-basis accounting…and i honestly do not remember a thing from school. I got great grades in school and i recently graduated in May…but i just don’t remember anything but the basic that i learned like in high school…i have my intermediate accounting books from Kieso 13ed…how can i go about this? I haven’t apply to take the exam yet but i will like to take it at the end of november since theres no exams in december and i think its way too long to study from now until january…someone help please!!!

If you don't have a Wiley reference, you could either Google it or get Principles of Accounting book from the library. I still have my cliff notes and pocket sized Prinicples of Accounting I and II.

Well, the videos should explain the material?!? You watch them, you read the textbook, and then you do the MCQs! And take notes!

And if you are not happy with that review, ask for a refund and invest in Roger CPA review! He does excellent job explaining FAR concepts!

I was a little confused when I came to that section the first time as well. It's meant as a review of the basics of accounting, and you may have to find outside sources. This website has been a good resource in helping to explain things. https://www.principlesofaccounting.com/

Also, I went through the exam questions in study mode to see how they worked out the problems and took detailed notes. I then went through the next couple sections to make sure I had forgotten the answers – then went back and did the exam questions in study mode.
