    Hi guys,

I have my far exam next week and it’ll be my first time. Im a bit overwhelmed and feel nowhere near ready to take this test. did any of you walk into the test knowing everything? i feel like id do okay on the big topics like bonds, leases, deferred taxes and such but its the little stuff im worried about.. topics that aren’t really talked about in the review books like idk payroll taxes..purchase commitments..stuff that you see in passing while studying for the more heavily tested topics. should i sweat the small stuff? bc i feel like i cant cram anymore stuff into my brain.

I felt unprepared, discouraged and depressed when I walked into the FAR exam. During the exam I felt so lost it was almost comical. I guessed, A LOT. Was positive I failed.

I got an 81. Could not believe my eyes when it posted.

Do your best, it's all you can do. There are SO MANY topics and there are some they don't test at all. Don't overthink questions particularly if you're unsure. Pick an answer and move on. On the SIMs, don't leave anything blank. If it asks for a numerical answer and you have *no idea* (this was my experience) then put 0. I did this, no idea if I was right or wrong but leaving an answer out on a SIM will never be right.

    Good luck to you!
