I ran out of time, left 3 tabs completely blank on the simulation, but still managed to pass this section with a score of 81.

Based on the weighting of the sections, I figure I must have been pretty close to a perfect score on everything I did finish.

This was my 2nd try on this section.

The time constraint on FAR is more significant than any other exam section

For one thing the computer based testing penalty for good performance for me had everything to do with more time consuming questions.

My experience on this pass is that on the MCQs was that the computer based testing penalty for good performance has everything to do with time consuming questions.

    My problem:

I was so focused, when taking the exam that I spent way to much time on a small handful of MCQs, I got to the simulation section with only 43 minutes left. OMG

To compensate for the time constraint

I’d advise people to practice exam strategy just like on your SAT in HS. Basically budget your time, and make sure you reserve 1.5 hours for the simulation. Time consuming questions you’re better off guessing at.

    My experience

I think I had about 6 very time consuming questions in the MCQs. In retrospect I would have been much better off just guessing on those questions.

    What I should have done

Marked the time consuming questions, worked with a time budget on the MCQs. Guess those ones that are going to take a long time to complete.

If you are really super duper prepared for the exam, you can pretty much count on getting the Sim stuff pretty easily, but it takes time to do it. So its a good trade off to guess on a few questions so that you can pick up many more points on the simulation.

    Passed all 4
    Done!
If I can pass, you can too!
