With regards to Deferred taxes, Becker sometimes subtracts Estimated tax payments, and other times does not, in the calc for current tax liability. Am I missing something here?

I can't seem to find the question anymore :(. I know it was somewhere in F-6 deferred taxes. I would see some calc's where estimated tax payments were included in the calcs, and others where they were not. It must have been the difference between estimated tax payments, and estimated tax payments “Made”. I think I just have to read more carefully, especially for FAR.

    Thanks though!

It might be the difference between current tax liability which is the current portion (remainder) of what you owe after the tax payment you already made, and the current tax expense ( tax provision). I found this in CPA – 00849 in Becker's F6, I got this one wrong today too assuming it was 51,000 but it's actually 11,000.

Thanks!! Yeah I think that's the one. I have to keep in mind the diff between tax liabilty and tax provision! How long have you been studying for FAR and what chapter are you up to in Becker?

I've been doing FAR since late January so I've been through all of the chapters as of right now I've mastered F1-F4, F6, F8-F9 with HW around 90%, I can't remember anything I did with F5 so that's next on my list lol but refreshing is not so bad as learning it the first time around- comes back quick!

FYI – If you have a question about the material in Becker, you can email their academic support department. They respond within 48 hours, often much less.

I send them tons of questions. It's the only way I'm getting through this material.

    Love the support!

    It's almost like private tutoring.

    FAR - 86 - 2/27/14
    AUD - 75 - 5/29/14
    BEC - 80 - 8/31/14
    REG - 89 - 2/27/15
    Praise Jesus! I'm done!!
