Passed FAR after basically not doing 2-3 simulations and probably getting my research sim wrong (which I usually NEVER get wrong). Got REG next month followed by BEC in November. After passing FAR, I feel like REG and BEC (especially) will be cakewalk. Still going to study my @$$ off though… Here’s to hoping I actually get enough time to do my next set of simulations next month!

    AUD - 85
    FAR - 78 (lol@ FAR Sims)
    REG - 85
    BEC - August

Congrats!!! that is how I feel but I was actually okay with the SIMS the MCQ were crazy for me! tons of stuff on there that I had not seen. So happy not having to study that one again! Hoping that i can get pass REG as well. When are you taking REG???

    FAR 76
    REG 76(2x)
    BEC FAILED (2x)
    AUD FAILED (2x)

Oct 22nd. Got basically a month to study still and have already gone through the CDs once (although that was back in June… lol). Best part about it is that I just started my job and they're basically going to let me study during work until my schedule fills up.

    AUD - 85
    FAR - 78 (lol@ FAR Sims)
    REG - 85
    BEC - August

Man, I don't get it. I feel I studied effectively for FAR. When I got my scoring back, I got a 71. I took the exam in August. This was my first time taking FAR, and my only weaker portion was the simulations. All MCQ topics I scored comparable/ stronger in. Would anyone care to explain how the simulations scoring works? I'm in CA.

The simulation tasks are now worth 40% as opposed to 30%. Partial credit is given except for the research tabs. That is all I know for sure. And from the looks of it, if you're not at least comparable on the sims, you're likely to fail as far as the AICPA is concerned:

Can I pass the Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), or Regulation (REG) sections just by doing well on the multiple-choice questions?

No. The portion contribution from task-based simulations in those sections is too large. You would need to get some of the task-based simulations questions correct to pass.
