    Ok, here’s the deal:

Got my NTS this Monday morning and scheduled FAR for 8am this Sunday (the last day of this testing window)

Studying done as of that point [About 25% total according to Becker]: Moderate MCQs, mild use of lectures and sims on first 7 (out of 10) chapters.

Since Monday I have retouched a couple challenging topics (foreign currency, impairment and goodwill, acquisitions) and blasted through chapters 8 (SCFs and NFP) and 9 (GOV) by completing majority of MCQs (about 80% correct), most of lectures and some sims.

My plan now is to complete chapter 10 (more GOV) today, use Thursday to touch up on big topics (capital leases, bonds, and pensions), Friday morning to take a mock exam, and the rest of Friday and Saturday to go over my weak points.

My background: Graduated this May top of class, generally a quick learner.

Any recommendations or suggestions to add to or tweak my preparations?

    Encouragement is also welcomed.

    Here we go!

Glad to hear from you @Fischer93. Wow, 94%! Congratulations!
Well, I only ask for an extra 20% from the CPA Gods to pass.
But you and I know, that's not how it works for most of us.
Back to square one with most retakes.

I am trying to fall in love with my FAR Q4 so I kept spending time on it! Lol!
My husband even volunteering to give a regular 2 full sets of exam (4hrs length) every weekend.
These mock exams have to be all calculation problems, especially for MCQs. I said, okay.

I don't blame my husband, though he gets the tax breaks for my tuition fees (I am a Canadian – professional/tuition exam fees are deductible in Canada), I am wearing him out.

After our Las Vegas trip for 12 days, he wants to go for a vacation, without me taking any exams. We love Las Vegas. It's pretty hot. Would like to go back sometime, this time it's more a vacation. I will be writing my next exams in nearby states.

Anyway, just purchased my Ninja ‘Sniper' package. Already paid for 6 months-NTS for FAR/REG/BEC.
    Back to the grind.

Good luck with the rest of your sections, @Fischer93. You're an excellent test-taker.

You killed it dude – thanks for the inspiration. You just made me look like a complete idiot b/c i studied FAR for 8 months and scored a 54. I'm looking fwd to the rematch in November 2017 though. Again, thanks for sharing your journey – it really helped.
