I'm an LSU girl through and through. I saw someone post on a message board that when they passed, they wanted their ashes thrown from the upper deck at sundown and I thought to myself what perfect end that would be someday. I'm not sure LSU allows that sort of thing though, lol.

My LSU diploma is waiting to be hung next to my CPA license. 🙂

Hey guys,

was hoping for some advice if I am using Becker '10 and its looking like i wont finish studying till '11 – I was thinking of calling them up and hoping for '11 materials but I am not sure what their policy is.

Messier11, they update the materials for you free of charge (as long as your contract with them hasn't expired yet).. I actually just called them today to find out what their policy is. Go to Becker.com and click “enroll”.. then theres an option to get updated 2011 materials, They will send you 2011 software and E-books for free. Also they will send you updated flashcards for free if you purchased them in your original package. If you want actual books (instead of E-books), its 20 bucks a book.

I HATE Becker hahah it has consumed my life since July 🙁

okay so I have t-minus 9 days til FAR(AUD in 7…ugh, honestly wish I spread these out a little bit)…I have gone thru Becker about twice, thats F1-F7…so I havent even LOOKED at F8 or F9 material, save for guessing on the m.c. questions included in “progress tests/sim exams”-but these are way too easy to go by

Im freaking out a little bit when reading comments like “dont write off F8/F9” hahaha this is exactly what I did…

My question is exactly how comprehensive should I be in F8/F9 to “get by”…I dont have close to enough time to watch lectures, do hw, sims, hw again, yadda yadda…….so Im looking for a reasonable shortcut here; i.e. are they more computational than content oriented? A good mix? or the opposite?

Would it make sense to just go thur the hw's and take the “learn by experience” route or just read the chapters and take notes and memorize?

Help here WOULD BE AWESOME….thanks all

@Aldog: Don't brush F8 or F9 off. I would definitely read the notes and drill some multiple choice questions. In my experience, I didn't take those sections as seriously as I should have the first time around and ended up “weaker” in those content areas (and written communication) – ended up with a 74. So definitely don't brush it off.

I am taking Far on Saturday… again… and I am totally starting to freak out. What if I miss again. I feel like I have what I need to succeed but there is so much luck in this exam. I don't even know what to study any more and how to spend my last 2 days efficiently. I keep thinking what if I fail again.. I want to be positive but dont know how.

FARbehind, I am taking FAR on Friday and am anxious to get in there and take the test. I dream about this stuff. After FAR it's on to REG. I hope I retain the FAR info that I am comfortable with today and can get thru this monster. Going over MC constanly and re-reading my notes. I feel ready and can't wait to 1PM on Friday to go shopping and not worry about missing studying time 😀

@FARbehind: Don't lose your focus! You said you feel like you have what you need to succeed…..Don't fret! Take it easy over the next two days – don't overwhelm yourself with stress/anxiety. Be sure to get a good night's rest before your exam. Keep your chin up! You can do this! Remember, we are here to cheer you on. Don't lose sight of the finish line! You are almost there!!!

@FARBEHIND – I know how you feel, believe me, I do. I'm a fourth timer too. BUT….. You have got to put any negative thought you have out of your head NOW. Do not got into that test center thinking anything other than I'm gonna pass this thing. I think part of the test with FAR is confidence. You can do this. You have put the time in and studied hard. That's all anyone else does, right? Believe in yourself and you will be amazed at the things you can do.

I will be thinking about you Saturday and I KNOW you can do this. Now you have to know it too.
