Well, so much for feeling like kicked the crap out of FAR.
Weaker in conceptual framework (which is odd bc i did well on that with NINJA mcq)
Comparable with select financial statement accounts
Strong in Select transactions and govt.

I am really at a loss.
For this retake- I went through all the BISK videos first and took notes, then i did all the multi choice, section by section and took notes. then i rewrote every thing and felt really good about it.

I’m planning for a retake in a month?
Do you think the scout package is enough? I still have the audio from the last time i took the exam.
    UGH

I ordered the scout ninja and I'll start tomorrow.

I'll go through all the NINJA MCQ by topic (again) and all the SIMS (again) and get those last 2 points I need to kick the crap out of FAR.

    Whose with me?????

Let's kick the crap out of FAR!!!!

I'm posting this a little late, but I go straight mcqs.
Just make sure you understand why you get things right or wrong for each question.

If you can get a 73, you can get a 75.

    FAR 74

I registered an account on this website JUST to respond here is my score breakdown so far:

    FAR 67, 47, 60, 72, 76
    REG 55, 56, 75
    AUD 59, 73, 68
    BEC 63

Yes I even got a 47 on FAR. Until the more recent scores I've been “off/on” on the CPA for years but those 4 scores for FAR (47 to 60 to 72 to 76) were all consecutive. It took me a legitimate 4 tries to pass FAR. REG on the other hand, the first fail at 55 was in 2011, but it took me only 2 tries in 2017 (56 and then 76). I realized what I did to pass for FAR at 76 and applied the same study techniques to get the 75 on REG.

There's no secret formula buddy – all of the other posters are giving you solid material advice. I can't say I even drilled 1,000 MCQ – but I will tell you that I took better notes, started trending 70% on multiple choice testlets during study sessions, and paced myself on the real exam (I have a lot of testing anxiety).

My advice to you is NOT TO GIVE UP. I never gave up and there is finally light at the end of my tunnel.

I need to pass AUD and BEC before May 2018 when my FAR expires. It's going to happen. There is no “can't do it”.

Once I started to “cowboy up” and accept my failures were my own awful study habits and truly commit to the test – then I started passing.

Only YOU can call it quits. Who cares if it takes 5 tries to pass a section? Once a CPA, you're a CPA for LIFE.

You guys are so close. I'm not sure if it helps and I am far from an authority but I think time management helps. I went threw the mc around a minute each and then took my time on FAR. I took the full amount and I made sure to focus on sims. When I was studying I focused on reviewing sims and the answers. Trying to understand how they worked and the overall concepts. I know a lot of it is luck as well. If you get sims you can handle then you get some easy points. Good luck!

Unfortunately also time flew by and I got finish AUD and BEC before May 2018. There's Q4 2017, Q1 2018, and the final attempt Q2 2018. “Plenty of time” and there is literally almost 1 year between my FAR pass and my REG pass but it's not going to be a big deal. I've covered the AUD material before so I am pretty sure I can nail it this next round… BEC is the only one I'm largely unfamiliar with.

You can do this buddy. I believe in me, I believe in you. Toughen up. I've wasted so much money and time on this test. Even if my FAR happened to expire (which is WILL NOT) i will NEVER QUIT this because I want the CPA!

I'm with you Rachel. This time my strategy is to concentrate on sims. This isn't your mother's cpa exam anymore. The sims are a nightmare and require expert level knowledge.
