Hello my fellow strugglers,

Yesterday was my second crack at the monstrous FAR exam. The first time I completely ran out of time and was not prepared for the way the testing center worked. I received 64.

This time around I only studied a couple weeks. A couple things that I reviewed the day of exam were on SIMS (lucky shot!!!). Multiple choices was this way:

1/3 – don’t know.

1/3 confident.

1/3 I eliminated 2 answers and was stuck between the other two.

When I got to SIMS I had 2 hours left. That was very helpful because I used all of the time wisely. All 7 questions was on the material I knew well. I also entered everything as a formula in case I had a mathematical error, they would be able to see my work and hopefully give me some points. I went over each question 3 times, checking my work and the wording of the problems.

So to summarize, I think I did pretty bad on multiple choice, but pretty awesome on SIMS.

Did anyone else experience the same? Do you think I have a chance to pass this time?

It sounds like you have a decent shot. Hope for the best, and try to forget that you even took the thing until score release day. Good luck.

My first FAR attempt I got comparable on sims and weaker on mcq, received a 71. Walked out thinking I'm scoring like a 56 though, you'll never know.

FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..
