I am depress, or kind of ?!?!?!?!

This is the exam that I am missing to be done…….. I was getting used to waking up of bed every day of the week without worrying about my study plan and my goal for the day. Freedom is priceless.

Since I was so sure that I passed the exam, I have a getaway for this weekend. Instead of a celebration weekend it is going to be a preparation weekend ;(

For now, I am planning to take the exam either the 1st or 2nd of July (if spaces are still available). For my studies, I will follow Peanut’s 2nd try plan….all lectures first, create a new set of notes, and work MCQ’s. If you have any other advice PLEASE let me know.

    Good Luck to All!!!

    Done 😉

Know the Internal Revenue Code. I know that at least 2 of my SIMS came from being able to research the code and apply it to the SIMS.

    REG - 89
    BEC - 82
    FAR - 87
    AUD - 81
Used CPAexcel, Wiley Online Practice, and NINJA!

@Marivy22, forgot to add that, for my score jump in REG, I did also buy the Wiley test bank. It's cheap and absolutely worth it. Becker + Wiley, +those intense notes, will see you free!

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

    Thanks again!!!

I am still sad ;( more than when I failed FAR…..

Anyway, I got my ethics CD yesterday, so today I have a date with AICPA's ethics exam. Not sure were to begin, it is already open on my computer, I will play with it for few minutes, maybe an hour and then to the exam….

As for my REG re-take, I am waiting for the payment stub/email, I really want to take it the first week of July. My plan of attack is ready, will start all over again next Tuesday.

Good Luck to all of you!!!!

boy oh boy did i struggle with REG! and the funny thing is this is the section i enjoy the most out of the 4 (if that's possible..lol!)

i agree with the above post that SIMS are more important now and if you bomb the SIMS they will park you at 74. last few times i was stronger in mcq and weaker in SIMS and got 70 and 74, respectively.

this time i studied SIMS as much as i studied mcq and it took my understanding of the material to a whole new level. i used to believe that if you know the mcq you will be fine on SIMS but for REG that wasn't the case for me. in mcq they give 4 answers so you have a 25% chance of getting it right, if you can narrow it down you have a greater chance of getting it right. REG SIMS are usually all fill in the blank so you either know it or you don't. also, there are just some things you can't learn by doing mcq (do you know how to fill out a form 4797?).

putting a greater priority on SIMS was the only option i had after failing soooooooo many times. i changed my review material from becker to yaeger, rewrote my notes twice, and even added gleim's testbank and still couldn't get over the hump.

another thing i did was try to answer other peoples questions on the forum cuz it forced me to think as well. its true what they say, you truly understand it if you can teach it to someone else. you can try to think of different ways of asking a question while studying but i don't have the creativity or the patients to do it.

please note that i only studied tax SIMS since blaw SIMS aren't tested.

this is just my experience and i hope it can help someone out…good luck!
