I am depress, or kind of ?!?!?!?!

This is the exam that I am missing to be done…….. I was getting used to waking up of bed every day of the week without worrying about my study plan and my goal for the day. Freedom is priceless.

Since I was so sure that I passed the exam, I have a getaway for this weekend. Instead of a celebration weekend it is going to be a preparation weekend ;(

For now, I am planning to take the exam either the 1st or 2nd of July (if spaces are still available). For my studies, I will follow Peanut’s 2nd try plan….all lectures first, create a new set of notes, and work MCQ’s. If you have any other advice PLEASE let me know.

    Good Luck to All!!!

    Done 😉

Not sure what way you learn best but I would highly recommend Becker with the Wiley test bank for REG.

    FAR: 81
    REG: 85
    AUD: 73,71,83
    BEC: 82

    DONE!!!!!!

    Marivy,

I bet you anything, that your simulation must have said weaker on your report card?

I had 2 previous 74's on regulation and the simulations doomed me, the moment i got comparable in simulations i got my final 78… It doesnt matter if you score stronger on all mcq's categories like Blaw, Individual, Ccorp etc, the key is simulations are now 40% of your score, they will not clear you if you have weaker in the 40% category.

Well, on the bright side, looking at your pass dates in your signature, it looks like you have 3 more windows to pass REG. Losing credit for an exam passed less than 2 years ago, THAT might warrant some genuine depression

Gliem Test Question Bank, making sure to do the customized approach selecting “Questions you have never answered correctly” option.

Target doing 1,000+ questions before your exam day, via three, 20 question sessions per day, with two 20 question session focusing on all the tax related subjects and one 20 questions session focusing on all the law related subjects. Review Beckers summary notes by chapter as a supplemental, focusing on their mnemonics.

Worked like a charm for me on REG.

Roger CRAM, Wiley Test Bank and NINJA notes and over 100 hours of studying was able to do it for me on REG.

I failed REG with a 74. I'm waiting my report to show where I was weak. I have a feeling it was in the MCQ but I could be totally wrong.

Last time I studied I began with Blaw and did taxes last as I thought the taxes would be fresher in my mind come exam time. Do you all think I should stick with that strategy for my re-study or should I do the taxes first? Will 2 months be sufficient time to re-study or should I start over from scratch and take 3 months to review?

Thanks so much for your advice.

WHat i would do is understand why BCD is wrong, if you pick A as a correct answer. This helped me alot with the simulations. I had a better understanding of simulations when i changed my approach to doing multiple choice questions.

It will be interesting to see what you get in simulations, i am willing to bet it will be weaker. Twice they gave me a 74, even though i was stronger in all the other categories.

I'm anxious for the report!! I think I should get it in a day or two, right?

When you re-studied did you go back and listen to the lectures all over again or did you just go through your notes/book and keep working MCQ?

I feel like I took a TON of notes when preparing for REG. However, I did not have the time to work all the MCQ or re-write all my notes. Two days before my actual exam I took practice tests and scored horribly low.

I really cannot bear to listen to hundreds of hours of Phil Yaeger again. However, if that is what it takes to pass, I will suffer through it. I just thougt I'd ask someone who failed and then passed how they prepared the 2nd time around.

    Thanks!

Honestly I don't even recommend watching the lectures again though everyone learns different. I feel like its a waste of time that could be spent doing multiple choice questions. I highly recommend the Ninja audio for REG. It highlight the KEY concepts and creates repetition (much more effective than the lectures). Practice tons of multiple choice (I used Becker and Wiley test bank). If your struggling with an area break out your text book and read through it and teach it to your self. I found reading the text book so much more helpful that the audio. My computer broke so I could watch the lectures but there was no audio so I ended up just reading the books and taking notes which I felt was so much more helpful as I would tend to just doze off and not pay attention to the audio. If you have to read it and write it down it tends to stick more (at least for me).

Thanks, Esmo. I think you're right! On second thought, I don't think it will benefit me that much to listen to lectures over again. I already know a good deal of the information…no need to spend time on that. I will go back through my notes and work MCQ to find out where I'm struggling. I have the 2012 Wiley test bank and book so I'll go through it all. I will look into the Ninja Audio. I commute long distances so that might help me while driving. 🙂

    LOL Mla!!

After wallowing in my self-pity last night and consuming a bunch of powdered donuts to comfort me, I'm ready to attack this today. I want this over…OVER! I am so bothered that I missed it by one freakin' point.

I have both the Ninja Notes and Flashcards for REG. I used the notes some prior to my test but I did not have time to use the flashcards as I received them on Jeff's giveaway just a couple days before my exam. I will put them both to good use this time. I'm determined not to study for this again!!!

    @marivy

nooooo! bummer about REG. But you sound like you have a great fighting attitude and will kick it next round. For me, I studied blaw and did all the questions, but when I approached my final review, that was when I focused on the tax and didn't spend alot of time with the law portion. I received that advice from the forum which was helpful !!

    best of luck to you!!!!
