Failed FAR on the first try with a 70. I don’t want to give up yet, but I find it very difficult to study the same material the second time around. I used BECKER and thought they were helpful. My software is now expired and I refuse to re-purchase because they are way too expenisve. Does anyone suggest Wiley? Their material is so cheap…but it scares me! I don’t want to study all the wrong material on my 2nd time around.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

I'm currently studying for FAR. I feel like nothing is sticking to the cranium. Extremely nerve racking because I hear how this is the hardest of all 4 parts. Any advice will be taken and appreciated by this first timer! Still waiting for confirmation and expecting to take FAR come month's end. Just feel out of place because I just graduated college and I the full time job I have isn't in the accounting field. I'm glad I have somewhere to vent to people who actually understand.

OrangeCrush, I used Yaeger HomeStudy…when I finished the course (14 lecture video DVDs) I felt nothing had stuck!

So what I did was go through the entire course again and the second time things stuck and I felt very confident for the exam…

77cpawannabe the $70 re-registration fee is something that I know Ohio hits you with everytime you re-register. It's cheaper if you schedule more sections. Trust me, I've paid my share of re-registration fees. I believe if you were to schedule two sections at once it would only be $90. If you have multiple sections that you plan on taking in a six month time frame (I'm assuming that's how long your NTS would be good for) it's best to register for them all at the same time to try to save a few bucks.
