Failed FAR with a disappointing 73

This is the second time that I failed FAR, the first time I got a 61, now a 73, although a 12 points improvement, but it is not quite enough to get me over that 75 finish line. My question is that how close am I to passing the exam in terms of the number of MC questions?

What does the breakdown of the exam analysis show? Each section is weighted differently. The analysis could help you identify your weak areas.

What study material did you use? Perhaps a Final Review or a cram course could get you over the hump?

How did you study from the 1st to the 2nd attempt?

    Thanks cpa journey

I haven't received my exam analysis, I am using Becker 2010 material, I am thinking of getting the Yaeger Cram for FAR. The first time I read the textbook once and did the all of the questions once, the second time I just watched the lectures and did the MC questions twice. Should I change my study routine?

there is a thread that provides a great detailed approach to the exam. I did not pass FAR and plan on using it.

See thread “FAR is a Monster” Jan_in_WI post Jan details the method she used & it makes sense to me. I printed it out and plan on using it.

I just bumbed the thread to the top of the list

the post is from late Sept (aybe the last week of Sept)

    Hope this helps.

    Also Thanks Jan for sharing!

Congratulations on improving your score by 12 points! You are now within spitting distance of passing FAR.

I suggest that you get the Yaeger FAR Cram. Additionally, use the Yaeger Cram as a guide for doing ALL of the questions in the Wiley book.

After you finish the Yaeger Cram, buy the Gleim Test Prep for about $60. You can use the Gleim Test Prep to drill down to your weak areas. Your two reports from the AICPA will show you what areas are your weakest.
