Hello everyone

I recently got a 74 on FAR…Is there any hope of me winning a score review? Or should I just suck it up and retake FAR? I know the answer but I’m just looking for confirmation…thanks

I don't know much about the “score review” process.

What I can tell you is that when I've got my score report (for a 74), on the back of it it said: Stronger – on MCQs (stronger in 4 parts, weaker – in one), Comparable – on WC, and Weaker – on sims. So, in a way, I was puzzled: the MCQs that represent 70% of the score put me ahead, WC (10%) – makes my score comparable to others, meanning that 80% of my score should outweight those miserable 20% allocable to sims. Nevertheless, it was a 74…..

At the same time, when I looked at the detailed report for MCQs, I was weaker in the Concepts part: I've got 66% right versus 72% of the passing candidate. Since concepts' part holds a weight of some 20%, I think that was the main reason why I've received a 74 score.

Thus, I think you need your score breakdown by section to see if it does make sense to fight for a score change.

From what I have heard, the score review process is both more expensive and more time consuming than just retaking the exam. You're so close, so I think retaking it would be a lot less stressful and cheaper.

I just failed in the REG with a 67 score !!

I went to check for the score review on the NASBA website .. LOL

And found that:

It costs $200, takes at least 8 weeks (although, you are not prevented to reapply for the exam).. and probability is less than 1% ( which is almost zero) to get a higher score than you got now..
