    Hey all,

I just got my FAR score and I failed : ( I studied a lot, but didn’t focus as much as I should have on Gov and Cash Flows, and my test was hugely focused on those types of questions. Now I am freaking out bc I have one more chance before my parts start to expire. I am retaking the test on 10/26 and have start studying on Ch 5 of my Becker book (I think I focused too much on the first few chapters last time). Any tips? Anyone who failed the first time, did you study 20 hrs/wk again for the second attempt?

    BEC 88 (Exp. 10/31/10)
    AUD 93 (Exp. 11/30/10)
    REG 78 (Exp. 2/28/10)
    FAR 70 (retaking 10/26)

This is a general observation. I made a 73 on BEC the first time. Per the report analysis cost accounting was my weak area. I rushed through everything else and focused on Becker Ch 5 – targeting calculations. I assumed that I had bombed the calculations and spent most of my study time learning cost accounting caculations.

Second attempt was a 70. Guess I was weaker in the theory area and not so much the calculations. ;(

Just be careful that you are not just trying to win the last war with the beast. The next test could be completely different and focus on any of the material.
