So I have been unsuccessful in passing FAR twice (the most recent time using Becker). While my score did go up, it wasn’t high enough.

Using Becker, how have people approached studying for the same section again? I received a 68 on my last attempt. Any study suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Also, any pointers for staying motivated?

Alex, go to the library and borrow the book “Intermediate Accounting: Demystified”. It's a little old, but helps with most of the FAR topics, and with a little bit of humor.

Then check out accountingcoach.com. They have crossword puzzles and other games to help learn better. It's free!

Both items above walk you through step-by-step for each topic.

I also have a whiteboard to pretend like I'm teaching FAR. Make it fun! Teach how you wish your accounting teachers would've taught it. Enjoy the process of it, not just worrying about the score. You got this! Now go rock it!!!

I also used the Ninja Notes for this section. Look up videos on YouTube. You may be surprised to see old classes on there.

@Chris… If I didn't pass FAR this testing window, I'm going to read the “Intermediate Accounting: Demystified.” So, is it indeed demystified now?

Yeah I think the book is very helpful and with some humor. I think it by a husband and wife, both accountants… I think.
