I failed 3 exams in the past 6 months with the hope of getting at least BEC and AUDx2 out of the way in 2010 but unfortunately failed all of them. Now i dont even feel like studying anymore especially when i think about, it is getting even more harder in 2011. Waste of time and money i guess….feel like quitting.

Quitting is NOT the answer. Most of the CPA candidates failed in some sections of CPA exams before they finally passed. Consider the 3 tests as an experience to learn on how to sit on a CPA exam and figure out your weak areas on those 2 sections. I believe that if you study for Auditing again you will pass because you have already the knowledge and it is still fresh in your mind. The money spent in your review and fees is a good investment for your future. Don't give up! We are all struggling in these journey and each test that we took makes us one step closer to the end of our dream! Take one section at a time so you will not be overwhelmed. Don't lose the opportunity while it is within your grasp. You are already a winner because you did not quit when you took those exams in the prometric center. Now you can call yourself a “seasoned test taker”. You can do it! I graduated from college 26 years ago and here I am in my late 40's still doing the CPA exam. YOU WILL PASS IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

    BEC 2/8/10 - 75 (studied hard & prayed less)
REG 5/15/10 - 88 (studied less but prayed hard)
AUDITING 8/9/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard)
FAR 11/30/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard) Thanks GOD! I'm DONE

The process definitely sucks and is frustrating at times. If it weren't, every one would be a CPA and there wouldn't be a need for high fee review courses, etc. They are counting on a certain % of us to quit before we knock out all sections.

How bad do you want it? Also, think in a positive light. Your 18 month window time clock has not started yet. My back is almost against the wall on my window. Good luck.

I had the hardest time with AUD, even though the material was the easiest! I did over 3,000mcq 3x over to finally pass AUD….find a strategy for each exam that works for you and go foward…

    rcole79,

Keep trying. Lots of us don't pass. You'll never know if you quit now.

I'm pulling for you. You too, Edwin. We'll kill FAR next week!

Remember that the CPA exam is like a fence meant to keep out all the other people who don't want the licensing bad enough. Keep trying, and you'll succeed. If you give up, you surely won't reach your goal. I know someone who took the exam 7 times (back in the old days when all sections were tested at once) before he finally passed it. It's a tough test, but if you stay focused and committed, you can do it.

    FAR - 94 (7/10)
    AUD - 99 (8/20)
    REG - 99 (10/15)
    BEC - 88 (11/20)
