Is it common on an exam to be given one fact pattern and then have several multiple choice questions asking you to come up with different information based on that fact pattern?
For example, in the Becker supplemental questions for F8, there is a massive amount of data related to several funds and their activity throughout the year. There are a good 15+ questions in a row that all use the same exact data but are asking for different things–one might ask for beginning of year appropriations for the general fund, another might ask for amounts reported as other financing sources. I actually love questions like this because they go pretty quick once you notice the facts are all the same–has anyone seen this kind of thing on an actual exam?
