Passed exam as California candidate but there is no way I will be able to get the experience part. Does anyone know if I qualify for Colorado or Illinois once I get 150 credits completed?

I have a ssn. Non-resident. I will not be working in accounting in any future I expect and would be happy with a tier two certificate from Illinois which requires no update. I am looking at Colorado and Illinois. I have a BSc Business/Accounting and some MBA classes all from California but likely not enough to make 150 (reordered my transcripts to check). Going to graduate school in January overseas. Ipasstheexam says you need 150 in Illinois prior to sitting, which I didn’t have prior to sitting but will have soon.

I emailed Illinois but they told me what I needed to sit the exam(I said in my email that I passed) and something about provisional eligibility which I had to read three times and I’m still not sure about.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but you have to have one year of public accounting experience to become a licensed CPA in Illinois. Hope that answers your questions!
