Down for the count?

I passed three parts of my exam and though the Ohio loophole, discovered I have failed FAR. I used Becker for my review, but to their credit, did not perform the supplemential questions, simulation, or flash cards. Can someone please give me advice on what I should use in addition to Becker (I feel like I need 3 days per section to really comprehend) as I did the MCQ at least 6-8 times and scoring consistent 80-85%. I am obviously going to focus on the three previous items discussed above, but should i be looking into another review program? I am going to lose credit in January. Thanks in advance, feeling really down today. Very low point for me

I have lost count of how many times I failed FAR (at least 5) I passed FAR with a 79 using the Yaeger home study course.

    Most recent scores
    BEC-80, FAR-79
    REG-73 - 2/19/2011
    AUD-74 - April 2011

Personally, if I were you, I'd stick with Becker seeing as how that is the material you are familiar with. I think if you step up and do the supplemental questions, do flashcards, and keep working on Multiple choice questions you'd be ok. If you're thinking about adding on anything, I'd suggest buying Becker's Final Review product for that section.

Take a look at the chart on the back of your score notice, too. Perhaps it will tell you an area that you could focus on for the next time around.

well first the loophole has been known to be wrong so you might have a passing grade…. that being said if it is unfortunately true if you are off by a few points get the yaeger cram to supplement and give you new perspective on your weak areas. If you need more mcq's wiley is not much like $80 for the test bank online. If you are far from passing, but I doubt you are since you passed the rest, get the yaeger homestudy…. best of luck!

    FAR 7/2 - 88
    BEC 7/30 - 87
    AUD 8/27 - 80
    REG 11/12 - 96

First of all, wait until tonight to see your score! 🙂

In answer to your question though, I think I would stick with Becker, especially if your score is close to passing. The flashcards were really helpful to me. You could always add the wiley testbank someone mentioned about or use the free cpareview MCQ's.

I personally recommend Wiley and go over the questions twice. I make sure to skim throught for the second time around a week before my actual exam to refresh my memory! Wish you the best!

Or pick up an old inexpensive Gleim/Collins question review book – they provide you with excellent explanations of each question…leaving little to the imagination.

Well I just checked my score and I got a 69 on my exam (I got a 68 on Reg in may and passed with a 77 a month and half later). I think I am going to do the following based on everyone's helpful comments and things that I did not previously do as follows: reread all chapters in the boook inclusive of homework reading, read the notes to each chapter, redo all of the MCQ, and “memorize” aka learn what is trying ot be voiced on the flash cards. This was really tough for me to swallow as I think I had 95% of the concepts down, but did not feel as if I had mastered the material as in previous sections. I also just ordered Becker Final Review which I plan on doing. Tell me what you guys think (I am planning to take it end of November and October is rough at work with quarter close but no weekends)! I think I can honestly “master” 2 sections per week with ease (hopefully 🙂 )
