Planning on taking FAR on the first week of April. I’m on F6 in Becker and feel like i’ve forgotten everything so far. I’m typically getting 65%-75% on the multiple choice questions (first attempts) which I feel is far to low to have a shot at passing and feel like i’m rapidly running out of time to study. This will be my first test so I don’t really know what to expect from the CPA at all. Any opinions on how i’m doing and any advice? Thanks!

Getting around that percentage is actually pretty good for the first time around…

Take a progress test after each chapter to stay fresh with the older chapters.

As long as you are near 90% or so near the exam day, you'll be prepared. On the other hand, I don't think scores on progress test really tell you how you'll do on the actual exam…but it's always good to have a higher score than lower:)

Good Luck, you got plenty of time!

I think it's normal to feel like you are forgetting everything you did already, but you'll be surprised how much you retain. I just took FAR and when I reviewed there were very few things I didn't remember.

Also remember they can't test you on everything. I went into the test without even reviewing derivatives or foreign currency and I crammed govt acctg, statement of cash flows, and biz combinations into one day. I feel like I passed.
