    @Baseball, oh I see. That sounds awesome! I have kind of a weird background. I was born in the US.. Spoke Spanish at home and English at school; however, my dad took us back to Mexico when I was about 9… Started school over in Mexico… From 3rd grade to 11th lol. I came back to finish up highschool, graduated college in 4.5 years. My Spanish is actually excellent. I can speak and write very professionally in Spanish… I actually think in Spanish when I speak English lol. I'm trying to get into a Big4 within the next 2 years or so, I think that will give me a good chance of doing some international work.

    That it is, except that it is actually pouring right now. Might be our first rain this year, I can't remember. Maybe 2nd actually.

    Yeah, I'm not sure where it went. It isn't used enough to be a sticky.

    Jeff – Why is the search function so bad on this site? Just wondering, I don't really care. 🙂 Hi-Yah!

    Took 2 seconds on an iPhone. Keyword search: Spanish. Pure genius.

    @jeff – the search totally worked that time. I guess it's hit or miss.

    @jenuno01 – Yes, Big4 is an option for using your language skills. I've seen people take short and long term international assignments. I think this is a great way to stand out at a firm. Also, if you work in internal audit at a company with international operations you could have the opportunity to travel 99% of the time auditing their operations abroad. If I was single I would have jumped at this position. Paid for international travel all while saving most of my salary because I have no expenses (i.e., no rent, no car, nothing).

    @ATL thanks for your input! Are you working for a Big4 now? I work in internal audit now, my company is always talking about doing business in Mexico and South America, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon… My plan is to start applying for new jobs next year.. Hopefully I'll be done with these tests by this fall.

    Your Spanish comments are hilarious!!!!

    @BaseballCPA

    I think, as jenuno, that Mini uses google translate… What he doesn't know is that the site sucks!!!!! It does not translate that well.

    Fui un misionero en Yucatán, México durante tres años mientras estuve en el instituto. Recogí el idioma entonces.

    Por la lozalizacion y como se esta desarollando la economia en el sur de la Florida, siempre hay oportunidad para bilingues en las ciudades de Miami y Fort Lauderdale.

    Btw, no estoy borracha, xq no tomo jajaja.

    @Marivy – Estoy de acuerdo. Debe haber un montón de oportunidades con el Big 4. Florida y California son los lugares perfectos para ser bilingüe.
