Sometimes I whine, sometimes I procrastinate, but sometimes I actually like studying the material. I think I enjoy the calculations the most. I also like when hubby quizzes me on topics. So am I nuts or does anyone else like studying this stuff? I have my first Becker BEC class tonight and I am excited about that too, lol.

I really enjoyed FAR and REG studying, but AUD and BEC were like pulling teeth just to open the book. I think it is enjoyable when you are a dork like me and love accounting.

    FAR- 75
    REG- 82
BEC- 73, 79!! Its over. Am I dreaming?
    AUD- 74, 74, 88

I'm the same and I think it depends on the topic being studied. I actually enjoyed studying for FAR mainly because I kept surprising myself with how much material I had really retained from college. I also enjoyed AUD but I thought studying IT for BEC was ridiculous so I definitely whined my way through that.

As for REG, I HATED EVERY MINUTE of the tax portions but I loved studying the business law and the Securities Acts. It all really depends on where your interests lie.

So we're either both completely nuts (I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case since I'm pretty sure I've gone mad lol) or this is something kinda normal.

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)
    REG 83 (11/26/11)

I have studied BEC for a few weeks now. I am a slow learner. I remember some of this stuff, but not all of it. When I do homework problems over and over again, write notes, and FINALLY get it, it feels so great. Plus, I like challenges. And yes, I agree that accounting is fun. It makes me want to scream at times, but that's just me being me.

id have to say i'll probably be a little bored/not know what to do with myself after i pass. ive been pleased with my performance so far and ive been kicking around the idea of taking the CFE and seeing if i can do that.

I am afraid of that too. When I pass, I really need to get a hobby. Maybe I should teach, take classes, or something. Love learning.

Maybe there were a few moments in the beginning that I enjoyed, but at the end it became such a grind and I missed my friends and family so much that studying was just painful. BEC and FAR were okay, mostly because I am interested in the subjects tested on those tests, and AUD was boring but bearable (much more interesting in theory than in practice, to me). REG was the only test that I truly didn't enjoy studying for at all.

I might have liked it had I not been in school at the same time, but my life has been study overload and I am looking forward to reading ANYTHING that has no accounting in it!

    AUD -49, 71, 84

I took the week off for Thanksgiving….then last night I started studying for AUD and I felt normal again LOL!! Isn't that weird???? It was like I've been so used to studying the past 5 months that I actually looked forward to it.

Like others, missing out on things you like is hard but I also like knowing my accounting more solidly. My accounting degree was stretched out over 3 years part time so now it's great knowing it from beginning to end and seeing the big picture. Like boot camp, hard but makes you think you can survive anything (so I've heard…)
