Do answers to the questions AFTER the exam affect your score?

In the questions they ask at the end of the exam like “did you review the AICPA’s tutorial or sample exam” affect your score? I thought they were just survey questions until I just read this on their website:

“Candidates are required to review the Uniform CPA Examination tutorial and sample tests. Thorough familiarity with the examination’s functionality, format, and directions is required before candidates report to test centers. Failure to follow the directions provided in the tutorial and sample tests, including the directions on how to respond, may adversely affect candidate scores.”

The “required” part of that. I’m not sure how I’ve answered the questions before, but I have never ever seen their tutorials or sample exams. But I feel I may be borderline for the audit exam I just took… if I answered NO to that question… will it adversely affect my score?

I seriously doubt it. Although anything is possible I think they are saying that you may be at a disadvantage because if you have not taken the tutorial then you may not be familiar with the functions and in turn not get some questions right.

haha.. I have thought the same thing.. but I can't say I have tried their tutorial because it won't download correctly.. but I do think “if I say no, then they will think that I'm not prepared and fail me” Or what if I answered yes the last time, but answer no this time, then they are going to know I'm lying, then fail me! I highly doubt it matters but I still chuckle at it!

I can tell you for sure that it doesn't affect your score in any way. It merely says that if you are familiar with the test format (thus they ask you about the tutorial etc.), you have better chances at passing the test itself (you'll have better time management, you'll know how to navigate within the testlet and between testlets). I've never seen or completed any AICPA tutorials; I thought it was redundant (since Becker did a good job in that respect).

    DONE!

I don't think it would affect your score but on my first exam I was answering yes to the tutorial and no to the sample test because the sample test wouldn't download at all. I was wondering if the sample test doesn't exist and they are just trying to see if I'm a liar lol. Then, on my 2nd exam i just answered yes to both. I ended up passing both exams with the same score so I don't think it affects it at all. The ‘mark for review' deal could affect your score, at least that's what people are saying…
