Difference between normal people summer and CPA exam summer

I did not study at all after I took my “last” section of the exam because I was so busy with family life. Now that I flunked REG again I will have to start all over again for the third time and study this summer. While I was on my break from the exam I got a glimpse of how normal people live. They do things like read non-fiction books, take walks, watch tv, spend time with their children. Normal people hang out at the pool, see their friends, go shopping, and go to parties. They can go places and not feel guilty because they should be staying home and studying for the CPA exam. It was so much fun being a normal person for a few weeks. My son’s graduation party is this weekend. After the guests leave and I pick up the mess it is back to studying. Not how I wanted to spend my summer.

Congrats to those that finished and to those that still have more to go – study hard and beat this thing!

Good Job for getting right back at it. I agree, life of CPA candidates are so different from “normal” people, but all these sacrifices will be worth it. I passed REG on 3rd try (71, 72). I supplemented Wiley Testbank, also used some portion of Roger cram and Ninja notes with Becker. Reading chapters couple times and working MCQs 3-4 times really boost up my score. You have passed other sections, so I have no doubt that you'll pass this one as well. Good Luck & Congrats to your son for his graduation!
