I graduated with my Master’s in Accounting back in August . I had NO breaks in between high school through the Master’s; I finished both Master’s and undergrad in Accounting in 4 years so I took about a 2 month break before I started studying for AUD- which I passed last month with a 77.

Although I passed, the low score REALLY discouraged me and made me feel extremely unconfident about FAR! I don’t work so I have all the time in the world, but gosh I can’t get motivated to study for this thing!! I am supposed to take the exam on Feb 28, but I definitely need to reschedule to April 1. How many months did you guys study for it?

I am studying with becker and I am working the homework for F2 and I am like WHAT THE HELL?!! I studied the chapter really well but most of these questions are so random, out of the blue! So I am feeling even more discouraged because I did really well on Audit homework yet I passed with a 77!

I think I am just done with studying and so ready to get out there and work. Anyone else been in my shoes? Is FAR doable?

    A- 77 1X
    F- 83 1X YES!
    B- 81 1X
    R- 73 ._. got cocky. Retake: 83 Done.

FAR is certainly doable, although it seems REALLY long on some days. Just try and plow through it and keep plugging away.

And hey, a pass is a pass. Who cares what the score is!!! If you can pass one, you can pass them all.

If you're freaking out for getting 77 in AUD, then I will advise you abandon the whole process because a 74 score in the future might lead you to commit suicide.

Any pass is a pass! It doesn't matter if you got 99 or 75.

    REG -63│ 84!!
    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!
    AUD- 75!
    FAR- 87!

I did FAR in 3.5 weeks, however it was my last section and I barely passed. Only you will be able to determine the best study schedule to fit your personal needs. Be realistic with your time frame and expectations.

F2 was so overwhelming. However, since this was my last exam, I understood how Becker and the Exam work. My best advice is not get to stuck on one topic and move on because it might be covered later in another section. Once you go over it again, make sure you understand the basics. Also, do journal entries for every question!

To get motivated, set yourself a goal. When do you want to pass all sections and why do you want to pass exam by the time?

For example, for me. My goal was to pass all sections before fall recruitment. Why? Because my GPA wasn't too great and I thought the CPA exam will help balance that out.

First off, congratulations on getting your masters done so quickly. I lacked the focus and drive at that age to get college done straight out of high school. Second, I think there is an element of luck in the exams. Questions with tricky wording or that just don't make sense to you, whereas they make perfect sense to the next person. As long as you perform well enough to pass, that's all that matters (don't worry about the score). Put AUD out of your mind and just focus on the next test.

I think Feb 28 is enough time. I think I did FAR in 3-4 weeks.

    REG 10/12/13 - 94
    FAR 10/17/13 - 93
    AUD 11/11/13 - 92
    BEC 11/20/13 - 87
    ethics 11/27/13 - 92%

AUD has a greater than 50% failure rate. You passed. It is an accomplishment regardless of the score. My FAR homework scores were lower than my AUD homework scores, yet I scored higher on the FAR exam.

    Reg - Passed 82 Nov 2012 - Becker
    Aud - Passed 86 May 2013 - Becker
    BEC - Passed 88 Aug 2013 - Becker
    FAR - Passed 88 Nov 2013 - Becker

If you are currently studying for FAR and scheduled for Feb 28th you have enough time. You just need to breathe, relax and study. You have accomplished a lot in a short period of time. Well the CPA exam is NOT a sprint, it may take just a little longer, so relax and study. The passing score is the goal…..if you just want a 99 go for it, but really not necessary to become a CPA. Hey, the bright side is 1 down and 3 to go. You can do this, calm down.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass

Thanks for all your motivational words!! I am putting AUD behind me. But I still plan on rescheduling to April 1. I guess I just tend to spend more time on each topic than the average person would. In the end, I just want to pass so I made a decision to not stress about putting tight time frames.

    A- 77 1X
    F- 83 1X YES!
    B- 81 1X
    R- 73 ._. got cocky. Retake: 83 Done.
