Does anyone else get pissed when they post something they think is so insightful and interesting, and then nobody at all responds to it. Sometimes I finish a post and think that it is going to strike a nerve with so many people, and people will be clamoring to respond, and then crickets…

Check in 2 hours later, it’s 1/4 way down the page. 4 hours later, it’s 1/2 way down the page. 6 hours later, it’s off the page…

I have to laugh at myself that this actually annoys me. Oh, the rejection!!!!

And no, the irony would not be lost on me if nobody responded to this post;-)

@slayer – Almost all of the threads you have started have gotten multiple comments. The ones that havent are specific to Maryland candidates. Do people still live in Maryland? lol. Anyway – are you referring to somebody else's thread?

That's funny that I got such a quick response from writing a post about not getting a response!

Not so much the threads that I have started. I guess it's mostly when I respond to somebody elses thread. It just struck me funny today that this actually annoyed me. I do realize that people check into this site when they can, and respond to whatever they feel inclined to on their own time, not mine.

As far as Maryland goes, I can not definatively tell you if people still live there. This is because I sit for each exam section where I currently live, in sunny south Florida, but as a Maryland candidate. Long story… However, somebody must live there because someone is posting my results 2 days after each AICPA release date!

2) Most replied of all time

3) Zombie Award (You know the one…revived/bumped after 9 months)

Passed AUD, BEC & FAR. Lost credit for AUD & BEC once. Finally finished with REG as dessert. 15 times was the charm.

If you're talking specifically about the not wanting to share another71 website with friends, theres a few things you have to keep in mind:

first, very few people go back and revisit a thread they already saw unless there is a brawl going on. that thread has 30 posts including yours, it probably “died” so to speak before you even posted to it.

second,once the post gets below the top 10 or so, the chances of people looking at it get slimmer and slimmer.

Third, maybe you don't want to have expectations of other people's reactions. ALWAYS disappointing when you do that.

Finally any appropriate response to your post had already been said above that. Any response to you, positive or negative would have been redundant in that thread.

If I assumed about the wrong thing I apologize but chances are my points above apply at least in part to whichever thread(s) you are referring to.

I don't post as much as some people do (although I'm always lurking like Peanut said) but when I see a response that no one has answered, I try and answer it. So I do know what you're getting at.

I don't want people to feel bad that they didn't get an answer. I don't do it alot…but I've done it a couple of times.

By the way, I just answered your post about trying out new materials. I saw that no one answered you after 11 hours.

You can always “bump” your post to let us know you mean business. That goes for everyone-not just you. 🙂
