I’m sitting for REG at the end of this month, it will be my first exam. I’m just wrapping up the Becker review course now, and I want to compliment it with some last-minute review product. Would you recommend the Becker Final Review course, or would it be preferable to just order the Wiley CPA Online Test Bank and really hit the questions?

One additional question: What happens if you don’t finish all the Task-Based Simulations?

    Thanks all.

I took REG in November, and earned my best score yet. I also used Becker to study. After each lecture, I completed the required and supplemental MCQs (6 weeks). After I'd watched all lectures and answered all MCQs, I read each chapter – then answered all MCQs again (3 weeks). The week before the exam, I completed both Becker Final Exams, and a few Progress Tests to keep the material fresh. I also spent a few hours reviewing the simulations.

I did not use any supplemental study materials, as I felt well prepared with Becker.

However, I have heard many rave about Jeff's study notes.

Regarding the new TBS format – Here's what I've read so far:

There will be 6-7 tabs. All but 1 (possibly 2) will be graded.

If you run out of time and don't complete each tab, you may miss out on valuable points.

Take some deep breaths and focus. You can do this.

    Best of luck to you.

Thanks much for the response. Do you feel like the Becker TBS's prepared you for the real things?

Because those sections seem like the scariest part by far …

I completely understand and feel the same way. The simulations are more nerve-wracking for me than the MCQs.

I felt well prepared after reviewing Becker's simulations. Try to review each simulation a few times to be as comfortable as possible.

I thought the Becker Final review of 2010 was very very good! They “hold your hand” through example simulations. I really think the Becker final reviews are great for FAR and REG… no doubt!
