Could Really Use Some Advice :(

    Hey everyone,

Just failed FAR for the second time. Whoopie! I am so sick of this exam. I am such an overachiever that not doing well really gets to me. I’ve been crying in my office all morning. I’ve been using Becker and it has worked for all the other exams. FAR just seems to be my beast. I’ve listened to all the course lectures twice, worked all the problems twice, completed both practice tests twice. I’ve done the 2011 and 2012 final review self study and attended a 14hour live final review course. I don’t know where to go from here. I have the Wiley test bank and Ninja notes but haven’t really put them to use. I could really use some advice on how to approach my second retake.

Which brings me to my second need for advice. I took FAR on Feb. 11th. I would like to schedule this 3rd exam as soon as possible so that the material is fresh in my head (even though I think it might be completely wiped out). But, I’m super busy with tax season at work and don’t know if I’ll be able to put in as much time as I need to conquer this thing. I’m also moving to a new city on April 18th and start my new job on May 1st. So, I would have almost two weeks of no work to focus on my test but I fear I’ll be extremely busy with moving and all that. Any advice on when I should schedule?

    thanks!

You were really close this time! Redo everything once again and get Wiley test bank for more practice.

Can't help you with the exam scheduling. Only you know how fast you can go through the material. But definitely before you start your new job.

FAR was the hardest exam for me too 🙂

During the pencil and paper exams, they would practically give you the extra points needed to pass if you scored within 70-74. You either scored a 69 or 75 back then. Now, they don't do that anymore. If your score comes out to be 73 or 74, then that's what you get. Frankly, I cannot understand why they decided to do that.

I used solely Becker for the first time on FAR and got a 73. The next time around I supplemented Becker with the Ninja Notes and Wiley test bank and passed. The Ninja Notes are a great tool. They explain difficult concepts in a manner that is easy to understand.
