It has been one crazy week….after just a year, I was given a big promotion with lots of visibility. The job is such that I will be very very busy from Thangsgiving through Spring. So I need to ensure that I will pass FAR this time.
I was on a cross country flight from Atlanta to LAX and totaly blacked out, so I didn’t get to participate in the grade release thread mania! We landed and were waiting for our escort to pull us to the gate. The pilot came on to tell us that we coudl use cellphones and I casually checked the grade site not expecting anything to be there. I was explaining to my boss that it was only shortly after 4 PM and that it would likely be hours or even the next day before REG. I clicked submit and didn’t see the ‘no grade’ message. So I scrolled down (more confused as to what happened than expecting an actual score). I would have loved to see my face when that REG showed 84.
Anyhoo, I spent all last week training and will do the same this week. I’m pretty tired so I think I’ll spend a week detoxing and spending evenings with the family.
Since it has been 20 years since my last official accounting class, I bought Jeff’s notes. I will probably spend this week’s mornings and lunch periods reading the Ninja notes to provide some structure and remind me of the framework of FAR. Then next week I will dig in. The good news is that I remember a good bit of the FAR. I think I am going to schedule FAR’s exam for right before Thanksgiving as I have two weekends I know of that will be wiped out due to a wedding and my wedding anniversary (20 years)
Best of luck, one more to go. I never thought I would be here, it seems like it took forever and passed in the blink of an eye at the same time.
