I’m graduating with my Accounting degree very soon and I would like to jump into studying for FAR! I plan to start studying around the third week of December and taking the exam early February. My target is to study around 25-30 hours a week or about 5 hours a day. I will have no job or classes or any other obligations.

I made a structured plan on the Becker website as I will be using the Becker study system, please look at it here and let me know what you think as I do not have any experience studying for the CPA:

Thanks for the insight. I feel that FAR sets the table for the CPA test and for the accounting career as well. It's need to know stuff. I rescheduled my test for April 3rd. The extra 40 days will allow me to really hammer our way more MCQ's and Simulations. I need to re-learn a lot (especially how to do simple journal entries).

    FAR 91 - 04/16
    BEC 87 - 05/15
    REG 77 - 07/27
    AUD 92 - 08/31

Personally, I find FAR covers a lot of material that is in the other three tests. It felt like FAR takes a little from each plus all the financial stuff. To be honest, I was scared of FAR, so I ended up taking it last. I was happy to find out that some of the stuff in my study material was a lot (or identical) to stuff I studied earlier. FAR ended up being the easiest for me because I had already study and taken the other 3 exams.

When it comes to “review time”, I tried to finish my study program 1.5-2 weeks prior to my exam date. I would then go over everything again, concentrating on things I wasn't very familiar with. Just know one thing: You will never be completely prepared when you take the exam. But, as long as you are fairly familiar with most of the things on the exam, you will be fine.

    All done.
